Obverse: Circular rim without beading. In the center, over the field, bust of Simon Bolivar facing right with "BARRE" below (from the original engraver). In the ring, On the top, "BOLÍVAR" and "LIBERTADOR" on the bottom.
Reverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field above the denomination unit "BOLÍVARES": On the left, body of the Coat of Arms; On the right, the value "1000". Curiosity: Beginning the circulation of these coins at the end of 2006, there was a rumor that they were being recalled because the wrong facing of the horse in the Coat of Arms.
