Website that catalogs and shows information about coins and banknotes from Venezuela, to help the difusion of this patrimony to the world and our country. The information contained in this website is in constant expansion. Maybe there are some rare pieces that are not in the catalog, mostly specimen notes, notes issued before 1940, banknotes design proof and coin patterns. We welcome any comments, corrections, new information or pictures. Due to the dynamic of numismatic market, this site cannot provide the value of numismatic pieces. There are some catalogs that may help to get an approximate value, which is listed at Bibliography inside the References section. Recently in an auction, it appeared a very rare banknote of 1 Bolívar with date "Octubre 05 1989" serie F8. Until so far, the only thing that is known is that this serie were officially printed. However, due to the lack of a known piece, all pieces of this serie maybe were incinerated and never went to circulation. Maybe this piece is a few survival pieces.
