On the top, "REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA" (Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela) with below left in several lines: the denomination value "20", the denomination in words "VEINTE BOLIVARES", the date, the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO" and the two signatures, and below center watermarks zone. On the bottom, portrait of Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi by Emilio Jacinto Mauri circa 1899, with below, the denomination. The serial numbers are located at upper right and bottom left rotated 90 degrees clock-wise.
Reverse: Design with landscape orientation. In the center, over the field Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) with Macanao Mountain as background. On the right, watermarks zone. On the top left, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA". On the left, Coat of Arms. On the bottom right, with "BARRE" below (from the original engraver) and the denomination in words "VEINTE BOLIVARES".
Date of beginning of circulation: January 1^st, 2008.
