On the right, the denomination in words "CINCUENTA BOLÍVARES" with a serial number below. In each corner the "50". In the center, the value "50" with the payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO" in two parts by each side. On the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA" with a serial number at the left. In the center, below the issuer name, the word "CARACAS"..
Reverse: Design on orange. On the left, inside a circle the value "50". On the right, inside a circle, the Coat of Arms. In each corner the value "50". In the bottom the denomination in words "CINCUENTA BOLÍVARES". On the top, the issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA".
Common name: This design had as common name "Orejón" (big ears) and it was retired out of circulation early because the inhabitants rejected the exaggerated and ugly engraving of Simon Bolivar.
