Obverse: Circular rim without beading. In the center, over the field, effigy of the Libertator Simón Bolívar from AITA, with the legend "SIMON BOLÍVAR" above, "1830-1980" on both sides and "AITA" below.
Reverse: Circular rim without beading. In the center, over the field, mausuleum of the Libertator Simón Bolívar located in the National Pantheon in Caracas. On the top, the legend "REPÚBLICA DE VENEZUELA" and on the bottom "1980" and "100 BOLÍVARES".
Conmemotative motive: Allusive to the 150 years of the death of the Libertator Simón Bolívar.
